Taryn Dickens is an Australian para-athlete and Navy servicewoman who was diagnosed with degenerative cone-rod dystrophy in 2019. She has since pursued Para Nordic skiing and biathlon while advocating for greater understanding of vision impairment, mental health and the independence that properly trained assistance dogs provide. Through sharing her experiences, Taryn encourages more open conversations about disability, resilience and asking for support.
